SeaCastle Arabians specializes in breeding historic bloodlines in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, famed for its Arabian Horse Farms. The continuity of the beauty, athleticism and spirit of the Arabian breed is our goal. Our foals are handled and raised with care and love to fulfill their potential as today's standard bearers of this magnificent breed.

SeaCastle Arabians is run by Jo Franklin, award winning filmmaker renowned for her films of the Mideast. Her recently completed film "A Gift From the Desert: The Arabian Horse," a one hour documentary, has received glowing reviews from the Arabian horse world and the general audience.

A lifelong rider and owner of horses, she began her love of the Arabian horse in Arizona under Dr. Eugene LeCroix's tutelage, and expanded her passion for the breed during her years of filming in the Mideast, ultimately creating SeaCastle Arabians. As the daughter of Cavalry officer she is keenly focused on breeding for top sports ability as well as beauty. Her filming and reporting in the Mid East serve to make the finest horses available to SeaCastle Arabians for breeding.
