The soft nicker of a mare nuzzling her foal for the first time floats through the cool spring evening. In the darkness, you can hear the sound of the other horses stirring at the recognition of the new arrival. This annual event continues to ignite the passion of Ron and Laura Armstrong of Armstrong Arabians. “In the world we live in today, the Arabian horse is able to bring us down from the crazy speed of business and life, to experience the simple enjoyment of one of God’s greatest creations,” Ron says. “Being in the barn at the time of birth, hearing the other horses, and a strong spirited mare talk so quietly and gently to her new foal and then to witness in the next few minutes the foal’s same spirit and strength, is something that everyone should experience in their lifetime. It will humble you in a way that will affect how you look at your life, your family, and your faith!”
